About CBD
CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring cannabinoid. It is one of over 150 cannabinoids to be exact produced by the Cannabis Sativa plant. CBD is harvested and processed from the stalk, stems, leaves and flowers from the Hemp plant. Hemp differs from Marijuana in that the Delta-9 THC level in Hemp is less than 0.3%. Marijuana has a much higher THC level than this. CBD is an active therapeutic compound that, acts on the body’s endogenous cannabinoid system. Different forms of CBD include: Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum and Isolate. CURÁA offers full spectrum CBD for all of our products.
Full spectrum CBD contains the full hemp plant. It contains essential fats, vitamins C, A, E and B and up to 20 amino acids, along with terpenes and flavonoids. It also contains compounds from the cannabis plant, including CBD, CBG, CBC and up to 0.3% THC. Its benefits may be more prominent due to the "entourage effect" which potentially offers a long-lasting effect in maintain well-being, due to all the cannabinoids working together in harmony.
The short answer is No! CBD does not make you “high” .
The higher levels of THC found in Marijuana will make you high.
Hemp derived CBD is not Psychoactive in nature. This means you can enjoy the benefits of CBD and not worry about addiction, overdose while carrying on your day with energy and focus.

Here at CURÁA we pride ourselves on full transparency and bringing you a quality product.
By doing so, we provide a QR code linked to a Certificate of Analysis (COA) on all of our products.
A third-party lab provides the COA. It confirms CBD content, purity, and a THC content of 0.3% or less.
A reputable manufacturer will provide COA’s on all their products or by request.
When purchasing CBD from a company you should also look for: a non-GMO, organic oil to ensure that the CBD doesn't contain pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers or solvents.
Look for a reputable manufacturer. Avoid low quality, low prices and low potency.
Here at CURÁA we partnered with growers/cultivators that are Good Manufacturing Certified (GMP).
Look for products that are labeled as “Full spectrum”. Full spectrum has a broader range of cannabinoids (including vitamins and minerals, fatty acids, proteins, chlorophyll, terpenes and flavonoids). These products are more effective in offering a longer-lasting effect than “isolates”. Or what some would call the “entourage effect”.
Wondering how much CBD you should take?
As the wellness benefits of CBD (Cannabidiol) and the cannabis plant become better known and more people are open to the idea of trying it, they can quickly become overwhelmed with the different strengths and types of products CBD oil is available in. You can now find a wide range of products on the market, from flower, oils, to vape e-liquid for vaping devices, CBD topicals and CBD edibles.
One of the main questions the CURÅA team receives from both inexperienced and seasoned CBD users is: how much CBD should I take?
Knowing the dosage of CBD isn’t an exact science, but we’ll attempt to break down the important factors that go into figuring out the best dosage when taking CBD oil.
At this time there is no standard (Food and Drug Administration), at the writing of this, hasn’t recommended a daily amount for consumption of CBD, meaning that CBD doesn’t have an official serving size.
Adding to the confusion is that most CBD companies reference “a dropper full” as the recommended serving size. Unfortunately, the droppers on most bottles are unmarked and don’t fill to the top, which confuses customers further.
While a dropper full can certainly be a dosage, it’s important to understand there is no correct way to know if that dosage is right for YOU without taking into account:
Your Bodyweight
Your Body chemistry
The Potency of the CBD product
External lifestyle factors
Considering the factors listed above and the fact that the human body’s endocannabinoid system (which is what interacts with CBD) changes over time, you can quickly see that the correct dosage of CBD for you will also change over the course of your life.
It takes some trial on your part to find the perfect CBD dosage for your needs. You may need to experiment with different methods and dosages (low/high doses) before you experience the optimal effects of CBD.
STEP 1: Start with your Bodyweight!

STEP 2: Start with lower doses and increase the dosage slowly
There’s a reason some people swear by one brand and another has no success with it – we are all made differently and our bodies have had their own unique experiences and history with substances, vitamin supplements, and medications.
In other words, our body chemistry affects how we will react to CBD. This is why you shouldn’t listen to your friend that gets results taking the smallest amount or the one whose body can handle a large dose of CBD. What works for your friend may not work for you, and vice versa.
This is why it’s important to determine your CBD oil requirements by starting dosages based on weight. Then you need to gauge your body’s reaction to the minimal amount of CBD it was given before increasing it.
After you are comfortable with the minimal dose, gradually increase the amount of CBD while monitoring your body’s reactions closely. Being able to feel your body plays an important role in finding your perfect dosage.
Step 3: Talk to your doctor or healthcare professional
If ever you feel completely out of sorts about the amount of CBD to take, always consult your physician – they are there to help you. This is even more important if you have any existing medical conditions you are concerned about.
Just because your doctor may not have the most experience when it comes to CBD doesn’t mean they can’t help. They have more information than anyone on your body’s possible reactions and side effects of CBD and can provide you with a more accurate dosage of how much you need daily for your unique situation.
Hope this helps bring you closer to choosing CURÁA as your go to CBD provider and help you go on through your day with energy, vitality and focus!
